Bow down before Doom!

I'm back again guys and while I mentioned before that there wouldn't be any more solo Marvel pics for a while, I decided to do one more based of one of my favourite villains in the Marvel Universe. It could only be the menacing Dr. Doom!

I have loved Victor Von Doom for many years and felt that my Marvel work looked like it really needed one of Marvel's most deadliest villains to join the ranks of Magneto and Venom etc. Doom has clashed and even co-operated with the majority of Marvel characters so it was only a matter of time until I drew him. After I finished his colouring, I had done the inside of his cape the same shade of green as the outside of it, as I noticed in the comics and games that that's how it looked. However as I looked at it, I felt Doom was too bland and his pose was barely visible. So I decided to give it a darker tone of green to make it stand out and now he looks fantastic! (No pun intended!)

Speaking of which, Dr. Doom is the first character I've done from the Fantastic four side so I should look into getting them done at some point too. But there really will be no more solos for a while now as I'm currently working on my first ever A2 sized pic! Keep checking back soon as hopefully I should have it completed and uploaded within the next few weeks!

And now, the leader of the X-Men!

Hey guys! I've got one more X-Man for you now as promised. I wanted to do one more before I moved onto characters from a different part of the Marvel Universe. So I figured it may as well be the leader of the X-Men himself. So, I present to you, Scott Summers, the mutant known as Cyclops!

As you can see, I went with Scott's 90's look, which is the look I grew up with. I never was a huge fan of him having a hood. I found that like my Wolverine pic, this compares quite a lot with his look from the 90's animated series too! I almost drew him shooting an optic blast from his visor, but I have decided that I'm going to be saving that pose for a future project...

I'll draw some more single Marvel characters again real soon. I'm taking a short break now to focus on other things but keep checking back and I'll still have plenty to post before you know it! Thanks guys! :)

The Ace of the X-Men!

Hey guys, I've got another X-Man for you! I now give you...Remy Lebeau! The mutant Cajun known as Gambit!

First of all, let me just say, this is now my new favourite pic I have done so far out of the Marvel character drawings I've done! I love how this has turned out more than Carnage and Mister Sinister did! Wasn't easy though as this was my third attempt at him! The first time I didn't like the way his coat looked and the second I had a problem with the way he threw his cards.

I wanted to give Remy a decent card throwing pose whilst displaying his technique at the same time. So I looked through my comics for ideas on how to get it right and finally, here is the result. Quite possibly my finest piece yet!

Gambit's inclusion now brings the X-Men pics up for 4 I believe. I think I'll do one more before moving onto a different type of Marvel character.

And here's X-Man number two of the day!

The second X-Man I have for you today is none other than Peter Rasputin, the mutant known as Colossus!

I wasn't planning to draw him for a while but one of my mates loves Colossus and has been waiting to see him for a while now so I decided to give him what he wanted to see. This time my goal was to give Colossus a shining effect on his metallic body. I did so by leaving streaks of white on the metal and gave his head that little bit of sparkle shall we say.

He's turned out pretty well but I'm considering adding a light shade of blue to some parts of the body to possibly make him look better. Not decided yet for sure but if I do, I'll post an updated pic.

Might do a couple more X-Men before I move onto the next lot of characters.

BAMF! Nightcrawler appears!

BAMF!

I present to you all Kurt Wagner: The X-Man known as Nightcrawler!

I first drew the character in an acrobatic pose from his circus days. But as I drew it, I realized he'd look better as if he jumped out of smoke from teleporting in! So I added in that effect and to begin with, I was unsure. But after applying some colour to it, I think it turned out really well! I did put in some purple on Kurt's body too but isn't quite as noticeable from these pics.

This is just one of two X-Men I have for you today! The second shall follow shortly...

"I'm the best at what I do!"

Kicking off the X-Men line of characters is none other than perhaps the most recognizable character of the team...Wolverine!

As I mentioned before, I've not done any members of the X-Men yet, despite having done two of their villains, Magneto and Mister Sinister, already. Well I decided they were long overdue, so I took up my pencil and produced this beauty! He honestly turned out much better than I dared to imagine! The sketch satisfied me, but after filling in the black and blue parts, I began to fall in love with it. I used three different shades of blue to get the tone you see above and I honestly think I got it spot on! By the time I had finished colouring him, he looked ready to come alive! I'm actually pleased with how this bub turned out, and I don't like to compliment myself a lot so this is certainly something!

I will be continuing with the X-Men line for a little bit and hopefully get round to characters like Cyclops, Phoenix, Nightcrawler, Gambit, Beast, Storm and many more...Maybe not all at once but possibly another two or three before I move on to a character from either the Marvel Knights universe or the Fantastic Four universe...or maybe a quick Spidey villain as there are loads of them I'd love to get done!

Something Sinister this way comes...

I'm back guys after an eventful couple of months. May was full of birthdays and other events that kept me busy, while I spent a couple of weeks in hospital in June. Nothing to worry over though as I'm now fit and getting on with things once again.

So back to drawing, here is one of my favourite villains in the Marvel Universe. Nathaniel Essex, also known as Mister Sinister!
This has been a character I have wanted to draw for a long time and I'm really pleased with how he has turned out. I decided to give him a darker tone to his costume and added in a mix of black to go with his dark blue colour. I felt that it would make him look more...well, sinister!

I have plenty of characters lined up that I'd like to do. I'd like some more Spidey villains and considered the likes of Green Goblin, Mysterio, Doctor Octopus, Electro and Lizard. But I've also noticed I actually haven't done any X-Men yet either so will be looking into bringing in characters like Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Gambit and Jean Grey/Phoenix amongst others. Plus I still have the Fantastic Four characters to do, as well as Marvel Knights like Daredevil, Elektra, Blade, Punisher and Ghost Rider. I think the Avengers have enough for now...

All this to come guys! Gonna be busy, busy, busy!

Now comes Carnage!

Look out guys! There's a killer pic on the loose causing that which he is known for. That's right everyone! Here comes Carnage!

Naturally it took a lot of concentration to ensure that every detail made the character look perfect. I put a lot of effort on the 'coils' if you like, basically the black tentacle-like parts of him to make him look spot on. Took me about 4 hours to draw the actual pic and another 4 or so to colour him. Every time I draw a pic and think it's my new favourite, another follows later on and currently this is up there in my favourites! Definately one of the ones I've concentrated the most on!

Keep your eyes peeled for more coming soon!

Holy Chimichangas!

Hey guys!

I'm a little late with this post as I finished this drawing a few days ago but I now give you...Deadpool!!

In case anyone has noticed it, I based this picture off of the CMFC figurine. I made a few changes like posing him in a mirror image to his figurine, gave him two swords to hold instead of a sword and gun, a couple of slight changes to his costume but all in all I'm pleased with how he turned out!
Coming up nex-whoa whoa! What the!? Hmm..mmm...MMM!!!!

"Hey folks! Deadpool here breaking the fourth wall as I always do! Look at me! SV here made me look sooooo pretty! Would you all say he got my good side...?......The right answer is every side is my good side!! I might have to steal this, frame it and put it on Death's bedroom wall so she can look at me every night...Ow! Sweet Chimichangas, SV bit me! Whattya mean my hand is sweaty!? I'll show you sweaty! Oh! Guys! Keep an eye out for my game later this year! It's gonna be BOOMING! Speaking of which I promise you all there'll be plenty of booms and even boom booms from the lovely ladies themselves including Death and Psylocke and Cable!? Ummm yeah, Cable too then. Anyway I gotta say ciao for now! I can see a feral Wolverine about to slice me up. Smell you laters!"

Jeez! Deadpool really needs to wash his hands! But yeah, as I was saying...
Coming up next...Carnage!

The Master of Magnetism!

Behold Magneto: The Master of Magnetism!

Magneto is my favourite Marvel villain and has been since a very young age. He may even be my favourite Marvel character of all-time yet I'm a bit stuck between whether I like him more or another character who will be my next pic ;)
Either way, I had fun drawing Magneto at last and plan to include some more villains along the way seeing as he is the third villain I've done so far, after Loki and Venom. I've got the likes of Dr. Doom, Mr. Sinister, Green Goblin and Mysterio planned so I'll look into getting them in soon. But like I say, first I have another character to draw.....

What I've been up to for the last few months...

Hey guys, as it's been a while I thought I'd finally update with some completed pics that I've done over the last few months.

First of all, the Marvel pic is a tattoo sleeve that a friend of mine has asked me to draw for him. He's asked for one sleeve of heroes and one sleeve of villains but so far only his hero sleeve has been done. It consists of the Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Spider-Man, Deadpool and Human Torch. I've not heard of what villains he wants yet but shall keep you all posted.

Next is a pic of my good friend's cat that was also requested. This was my first attempt at drawing something in real life and I was extremely pleased with how he turned out and I'm happy to say that they were impressed with it too. They also picked up on the background and saying how much it looks like their room so I felt it was a success.

The third pic was fairly recent and was done as a present for one of my best mates. We are both huge fans of Final Fantasy and I know that Final Fantasy VII is his favourite one so I spent three weeks making this picture for him. Easy to say this was one of my favourite pics I've ever done and will be looking into doing similar things with the other Final Fantasy titles in the future!

Finally I worked today on a new pic and I ended up starting my DC line with Batman. I shall be working on doing my single pics again soon now. I may do some other DC characters in the future, except the only ones I really like are characters from the Batman series so you can probably expect characters like Robin, Joker, Riddler etc. I am planning more Marvel ones too. Hopefully the next lot will include Deadpool, Magneto, Dr. Doom, Mr. Sinister and many more. And who knows, there may be other projects. Stay tuned peeps, I plan to keep on track here a bit more now...

Half a year later...

...I'm back!

Sorry for the lack of updates on my blog fellas! I been a busy bee with my work and a lot of other personal stuff all happening over the last few months.
Things are slowly starting to quiet down a bit now though so I may concentrate on getting some more artwork done and putting it on here. I do have some things I'd like to share that I done ages ago so I'll look into getting those uploaded too.
I will say I've not done any Marvel work lately. Took a break from that for now but it doesn't mean I've stopped! I do have some names that I want to work on including the likes of Magneto, Deadpool, Doctor Doom, Mr. Sinister, Mysterio and many more!

Keep it real guys!
