The God of Mischief!

Here is the complete pic of Loki, the God of Mischief!

I mentioned before that I wasn't sure how he'd turn out but now that he has some colour in him, I'd say he looks much better now. The detail makes his menacing look stand out more and I tried to keep the gold looking colour on him. I think it worked out.

Finally coming next is the one we've all been waiting for...the Avengers!

This is no jest. Loki comes!

Behold the God of Mischief: Loki! This marks the first villain in my Marvel artwork series!

If I'm honest, I'm not sure what to think about this pic just yet. It's not bad but I feel it's not the best it could be. I will wait until I add colour before I pass my judgement. I'll aim to have that done real soon!

An agent of S.H.E.I.L.D.

May I present Colonel Nick Fury, now ready for action!

As you can see, I was able to get a much better pic of him now without the flash from my camera getting in the way. This is probably one of the better pics I've taken as you can see the shadings and detail on the characters body and face more clearly. This probably is among my favourites so far. But Hawkeye is still my fave at the moment so I gotta see if I can make something to beat that pic.

Right, there's only one more pic to do before I start the long awaited Avengers picture. The next character is going to be the first villain in my Marvel artwork: Loki!

The Colonel is in!

Front and center troops! Colonel Nick Fury is now present among us!

I really took my time with this agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. in order to get his look of age right, it's not often I do older characters so wish me luck when I get to the likes of JJJ, Vulture, Mole Man, Mandarin etc...

Nawww but I think I did ok. As you can see, I went with the original Fury and not the latest 'Samuel L. Jackson' Fury. This one was the one I've grown up on so to learn that Fury is now portrayed as a different race is a bit wierd to me. Don't get me wrong, I like him...but it's still wierd.

Anyhow, I'll work on colour soon so keep your eyes open!

PS. Apologies for the light from my camera. It's quite difficult for me to get a good shot without the flash getting in the way, you guys may have noticed on some of the other pictures. Hopefully you will see it more clearly when the colour has been added.

Mission complete!

Here she is fellas! Black Widow is now brought to you in colour!

While the sketch itself didn't take long to do, the colour actually took longer! I found I had to make the black in her suit stand out more so you can see the shading. I like to think I pulled it off though as you can clearly see both light and dark shades. Trying to find the right shade for her hair was a little difficult too but after mixing some colours together, I think it worked in the end.

Coming next is none other than the leader of SHIELD himself, Nick Fury!

Beginning next mission!

Hey all, behold my latest sketch: Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow!

Believe it or not, this one was actually a quick drawing. Where some can take up to around 4 hours to do, Widow probably took me 2, 3 hours at most. To be fair though, the design is simple so all that really needed working on were things like the angle. No problem though.

I'll aim to have the pic coloured and uploaded real soon!

Someone has a keen eye!

Only a few hours since my last post but hey ho, here ya go!

I present the fully coloured picture of Hawkeye! You know as I was doing this picture, I was thinking about how he will played in the film. I sure hope that he gets noticable roles and that more people will recognize him. I still get people asking me who the guy with the bow is whenever they watch the trailers, and most of them have seen Thor and don't remember Hawkeye's cameo! :'(

In the meantime, Hawkeye's completion brings me one step closer to making a start on the Avengers pic. I have decided however that I'm going to draw Black Widow next, followed by Nick Fury (and it's gonna be the white Fury) and maybe Loki seeing as I have yet to draw any villains. I don't think I will add these three in the Avengers drawing though unless anyone wants me to but there will be characters like Giant-Man (or Yellowjacket), Wasp and Vision so there will be a fair few.

Any thoughts, drop me a comment and I'll see what I can do.

One to aim for...

What's up guys!

As promised, here is the sketch of Hawkeye. It seems each character I draw end up taking longer than the last! I remember spending 4 hours on one or two sketches...Hawkeye took me around 6 hours!? Seriously, how artists can draw something in minutes is beyond me!

But I am happy with how he turned out if I'm honest. I didn't know what pose to give him and what pose to save for the Avengers pic (which won't be long now!). I'll aim to start and hopefully finish the colouring within the next couple of days.
