We are complete...We are...Venom!

Behold! Venom in colour!

I was unsure whether to give him the blue look that he sometimes has, make him purple like his Ultimate version or just simply make him completely black with a few shades of grey. So what did I do?...All three of them in one!
Looking at the picture, I'd say it worked out pretty well! You can clearly see the effect of the shading and makes him stand out compared to some of my other work. Really happy with him!
Coming next...another villain...but who??

I'm back...with a Venomous post...

Hi guys, it's been a while since my last post. After finishing the Avengers, I worked on some other projects, both art and non-art related. But alas, I am back and I'm drawing some Marvel again :)

So here's the next Marvel character: Venom!
After looking through the work I've done so far, I decided to draw another villain (as Loki was the only one I had) and I chose to draw one of my favourite baddies. Turned out quite nice actually and I'm looking forward to adding some colour to him soon. Of course, I had to draw the classic Venom. Flash Thompson's Venom just doesn't quite cut it for me at the moment, while Gargan's Venom was good but still, nothing beats Eddie Brock as Venom...even if he is Anti-Venom these days and all that.
So yeah, I'll post a coloured pic soon and perhaps work on another villain soon...I'm thinking Magneto or Dr. Doom...

Avengers Assemble!

The wait is finally over!

May I proudly present to you all...Earth's Mightiest Heroes: The Avengers!

This is the final result of around two weeks of hard work from yours truly. There were many early starts, late nights, and even full days used up to work on this beauty. I suppose it's needless to say that I am absolutely proud of how this has turned out.

As I mentioned before, this shall be the first piece of artwork that I WILL be selling! Currently I still have a few things to do beforehand to prepare for selling such as work with making the prints etc but as soon as I know what's happening and have price details, I'll be sure to let you all know! If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll get back to you when I can. :) (Wow, this is all so new to me. Like a step up in the world!)

Right, I'm going to spend the rest of my day catching up on some much needed rest that I've missed out on. The Avengers movie is out next week so I'm happy to say that I completed my work in time for the release! :D

The God of Mischief!

Here is the complete pic of Loki, the God of Mischief!

I mentioned before that I wasn't sure how he'd turn out but now that he has some colour in him, I'd say he looks much better now. The detail makes his menacing look stand out more and I tried to keep the gold looking colour on him. I think it worked out.

Finally coming next is the one we've all been waiting for...the Avengers!

This is no jest. Loki comes!

Behold the God of Mischief: Loki! This marks the first villain in my Marvel artwork series!

If I'm honest, I'm not sure what to think about this pic just yet. It's not bad but I feel it's not the best it could be. I will wait until I add colour before I pass my judgement. I'll aim to have that done real soon!

An agent of S.H.E.I.L.D.

May I present Colonel Nick Fury, now ready for action!

As you can see, I was able to get a much better pic of him now without the flash from my camera getting in the way. This is probably one of the better pics I've taken as you can see the shadings and detail on the characters body and face more clearly. This probably is among my favourites so far. But Hawkeye is still my fave at the moment so I gotta see if I can make something to beat that pic.

Right, there's only one more pic to do before I start the long awaited Avengers picture. The next character is going to be the first villain in my Marvel artwork: Loki!

The Colonel is in!

Front and center troops! Colonel Nick Fury is now present among us!

I really took my time with this agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. in order to get his look of age right, it's not often I do older characters so wish me luck when I get to the likes of JJJ, Vulture, Mole Man, Mandarin etc...

Nawww but I think I did ok. As you can see, I went with the original Fury and not the latest 'Samuel L. Jackson' Fury. This one was the one I've grown up on so to learn that Fury is now portrayed as a different race is a bit wierd to me. Don't get me wrong, I like him...but it's still wierd.

Anyhow, I'll work on colour soon so keep your eyes open!

PS. Apologies for the light from my camera. It's quite difficult for me to get a good shot without the flash getting in the way, you guys may have noticed on some of the other pictures. Hopefully you will see it more clearly when the colour has been added.

Mission complete!

Here she is fellas! Black Widow is now brought to you in colour!

While the sketch itself didn't take long to do, the colour actually took longer! I found I had to make the black in her suit stand out more so you can see the shading. I like to think I pulled it off though as you can clearly see both light and dark shades. Trying to find the right shade for her hair was a little difficult too but after mixing some colours together, I think it worked in the end.

Coming next is none other than the leader of SHIELD himself, Nick Fury!

Beginning next mission!

Hey all, behold my latest sketch: Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow!

Believe it or not, this one was actually a quick drawing. Where some can take up to around 4 hours to do, Widow probably took me 2, 3 hours at most. To be fair though, the design is simple so all that really needed working on were things like the angle. No problem though.

I'll aim to have the pic coloured and uploaded real soon!

Someone has a keen eye!

Only a few hours since my last post but hey ho, here ya go!

I present the fully coloured picture of Hawkeye! You know as I was doing this picture, I was thinking about how he will played in the film. I sure hope that he gets noticable roles and that more people will recognize him. I still get people asking me who the guy with the bow is whenever they watch the trailers, and most of them have seen Thor and don't remember Hawkeye's cameo! :'(

In the meantime, Hawkeye's completion brings me one step closer to making a start on the Avengers pic. I have decided however that I'm going to draw Black Widow next, followed by Nick Fury (and it's gonna be the white Fury) and maybe Loki seeing as I have yet to draw any villains. I don't think I will add these three in the Avengers drawing though unless anyone wants me to but there will be characters like Giant-Man (or Yellowjacket), Wasp and Vision so there will be a fair few.

Any thoughts, drop me a comment and I'll see what I can do.

One to aim for...

What's up guys!

As promised, here is the sketch of Hawkeye. It seems each character I draw end up taking longer than the last! I remember spending 4 hours on one or two sketches...Hawkeye took me around 6 hours!? Seriously, how artists can draw something in minutes is beyond me!

But I am happy with how he turned out if I'm honest. I didn't know what pose to give him and what pose to save for the Avengers pic (which won't be long now!). I'll aim to start and hopefully finish the colouring within the next couple of days.

London Super Comic Convention!

Hey guys! Just dropping by to show you some of the amazing pics from the London Super Comic Convention!

As you can see, many dressed for the event and naturally I had to get some photos! It was an excellent weekend and I'm being sure to go to another Comic Con again!

Unfortunately I'm still waiting for my picture with Stan Lee to be emailed to me. Apparently they ran out of paper during the photos so they had to take down everyone's email addresses and sent them that way instead but as soon as it arrives......

Something different

I decided to draw something different for a change and due to playing the new Final Fantasy XIII-2, I decided to draw a character from the FF series. Of course, I chose to make the adorable Moogle named Mog. I really love this drawing as much as I love the character himself :)

Regarding the Marvel series, I can confirm that I made a start on Hawkeye earlier in the week. Still unsure which pose I'm going for and which pose I'm saving for the Avengers pic. I shall hopefully have the sketch completed soon so keep your eyes out for it soon! :)

Something Incredible becomes a SMASH hit!

Here he is folks! Marvel's own lean green fighting machine! The Incredible Hulk in colour!

Took me around another 4 hours or so just to go over the lines on him again and then add the colour and detail. You wouldn't think it would take so long really would you? But hey ho, that's how I work :)

Well, that makes it Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Hulk completed now. And of course, there was Spidey before all them. I can announce that the next character is.....Hawkeye!

But no one has gotten back to me on a previous question. Should I start the Avengers pic after completing Hawkeye or should I do a few more Avengers first like Yellowjacket/Giant-Man, Wasp, Vision, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch etc?

HULK SMASH!!!

Charging his way to joining the rest of my Avengers pics is none other than the Incredible Hulk! Another one of my best pieces I believe and after uploading this onto Facebook, he gained a lot of likes too. I'm gonna work on the colouring of him tonight so expect to see another update soon!

I've also got people asking to buy my artwork too. The drawings I've done so far are not for sale (at least not yet) but once I've completed the Avengers pic, I will be working on doing artwork to sell.
Are there any characters that you guys would like to see and maybe purchase? Let me know and I'll make a note of it when I start the new line :)

The Son of Odin returns!

Here he is everyone, the latest Avenger to join my previous pics, Iron Man and Captain America. The Son of Odin himself: The Mighty Thor!

I began colouring him last night around 11:30pm, I had to start late due to working until 10pm and I was determined to finish Thor so can you all guess what time I finished in the end?......3:30am! That tells you how much effort I put in considering all I had left to do was colour him in. But it was worth it, this may be my favourite Marvel drawing so far.

Coming soon.....The Incredible Hulk!

The God of Thunder returns to Midgard!

Behold! Finally the finished sketch of the God of Thunder himself! I give you...Thor!

This has certainly been my most difficult drawing yet! Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America...all sketches that had their fair share of difficulties. But Thor trumps them all and I must say I am extremely happy with how he turned out! I'd like to point out, this was the SEVENTH pic of him I attempted, I tried a few different poses and looks but I just wasn't happy with them...kinda wish I took photos of them too to see what you all thought.

Anyway I'll aim to finish the complete pic soon and then I will move onto my next Avenger! Keep your eyes peeled everybody!

I'll take this moment to say that after my Avengers pic, I will be concentrating on making pics to sell, therefore each pic I do will have multiple prints and I may even sell the original to someone if you're lucky enough ;)

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this guys. I would also like to hear what you guys think would be a reasonable price would be for them. This will be my first time selling things (and what a thing to start on eh?) so any help would be appreciated. I will also do some research online about it too :)
