Bow down before Doom!

I'm back again guys and while I mentioned before that there wouldn't be any more solo Marvel pics for a while, I decided to do one more based of one of my favourite villains in the Marvel Universe. It could only be the menacing Dr. Doom!

I have loved Victor Von Doom for many years and felt that my Marvel work looked like it really needed one of Marvel's most deadliest villains to join the ranks of Magneto and Venom etc. Doom has clashed and even co-operated with the majority of Marvel characters so it was only a matter of time until I drew him. After I finished his colouring, I had done the inside of his cape the same shade of green as the outside of it, as I noticed in the comics and games that that's how it looked. However as I looked at it, I felt Doom was too bland and his pose was barely visible. So I decided to give it a darker tone of green to make it stand out and now he looks fantastic! (No pun intended!)

Speaking of which, Dr. Doom is the first character I've done from the Fantastic four side so I should look into getting them done at some point too. But there really will be no more solos for a while now as I'm currently working on my first ever A2 sized pic! Keep checking back soon as hopefully I should have it completed and uploaded within the next few weeks!

And now, the leader of the X-Men!

Hey guys! I've got one more X-Man for you now as promised. I wanted to do one more before I moved onto characters from a different part of the Marvel Universe. So I figured it may as well be the leader of the X-Men himself. So, I present to you, Scott Summers, the mutant known as Cyclops!

As you can see, I went with Scott's 90's look, which is the look I grew up with. I never was a huge fan of him having a hood. I found that like my Wolverine pic, this compares quite a lot with his look from the 90's animated series too! I almost drew him shooting an optic blast from his visor, but I have decided that I'm going to be saving that pose for a future project...

I'll draw some more single Marvel characters again real soon. I'm taking a short break now to focus on other things but keep checking back and I'll still have plenty to post before you know it! Thanks guys! :)

The Ace of the X-Men!

Hey guys, I've got another X-Man for you! I now give you...Remy Lebeau! The mutant Cajun known as Gambit!

First of all, let me just say, this is now my new favourite pic I have done so far out of the Marvel character drawings I've done! I love how this has turned out more than Carnage and Mister Sinister did! Wasn't easy though as this was my third attempt at him! The first time I didn't like the way his coat looked and the second I had a problem with the way he threw his cards.

I wanted to give Remy a decent card throwing pose whilst displaying his technique at the same time. So I looked through my comics for ideas on how to get it right and finally, here is the result. Quite possibly my finest piece yet!

Gambit's inclusion now brings the X-Men pics up for 4 I believe. I think I'll do one more before moving onto a different type of Marvel character.
